Recently released is the label's unique tribute to Vincent van Gogh, a 12-song CD entitled Van Gogh by Van Eck. This Private Sound project, which sets Van Gogh's art to music, was recorded largely at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, California, using the world's finest musical and engineering talent. The 42-page packaging, designed by a multi-Grammy winning artist, includes art from transparencies provided by the Van Gogh Museum, the Pushkin Museum, and elsewhere. Already an important independent label in the Netherlands, Private Sound is becoming a major player in developing high-end remixed music. The remixed edition of Van Gogh by Van Eck brings together an unprecedented group of the world's most prominent Remixers, who lend their individual musical palettes to this extremely listenable album. Recently in cooperation and written by dr. Fred Leeman (emeritus curator of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam) an Audio Book with the title ‘Van Gogh and success’ was accomplished and is now ready for recording. On the theater front, Private Sound will take in to pre-production a new bound Broadway Musical “Picture of a Man”. Finding new and untapped genres for music & theatre marketing is a high priority for Private Sound.
