Van Gogh by Van EckA musical journey into the heart and soul of Vincent van Gogh

Recently released is the label's unique tribute to Vincent van Gogh, a 12-song CD entitled Van Gogh by Van Eck. This Private Sound project, which sets Van Gogh's art to music, was recorded largely at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, California, using the world's finest musical and engineering talent. The 42-page packaging, designed by a multi-Grammy winning artist, includes art from transparencies provided by the Van Gogh Museum, the Pushkin Museum, and elsewhere.

Already an important independent label in the Netherlands, Private Sound is becoming a major player in developing high-end lounge music. The lounge remix edition of Van Gogh by Van Eck brings together an unprecedented group of the world's most prominent Remixers, who lend their individual musical palettes to this extremely listenable album.

Finding new and untapped genres for music marketing is a high priority for Private Sound. Soon forthcoming: an album of remixed classical pieces.
